Overview

Active Always Health and Wellbeing Ltd is a Worcester-based company focussed on providing physical activity opportunities for older adults and those with long-term health conditions.  Activities are offered online and in the community, both one-to-one and in groups.

Environmental Aims

• To minimise the impact of our business activities on the environment

• To consider environmental issues in our dealings with suppliers and participants

• To comply with relevant environmental legislation.

Environmental Objectives

Efficient Use of Energy

• Use clean, eco-friendly bio-ethanol fuel for heating home studio space instead of free-standing electric heater

• Ensure that the heating in hired spaces does not exceed the level recommended by ACSM for the type of class

 

Sustainable Transport

• Use online meeting options where possible

• Walk or cycle wherever possible, in particular restricting car usage for journeys of less than 3 miles each way. 

• Aim to use the closest appropriate instructor to a venue to deliver classes at that venue, thereby minimising their travel requirements

 

Minimal Waste

• Produce video content rather than hard copy content where appropriate

• Use recycled paper for session planning

• Recycle all equipment that is safe to use but that is no longer required

• Schedule quarterly litter picking walks as a participant activity

 

Supplier Management

• Verify a supplier’s environmental impact via their environmental policy prior to engagement
